Tensegrity and Kingdoms

Tensegrity and Kingdoms: a Hymn for World Peace, 2007
Microprocessors, wood, grass, water, LED, fluorescent lights, plants, electricity, etc.
Dimensions variable.

Utilizing the tensegrity system invented by Buckminster Fuller, the living installation personifies the world by creating a system which consists of different organs (i.e. continents) that depend on one another for its survival. A water circulation system (i.e. the heart) provides moisture for the plants, where as LED fireflies dance around inside the “lungs” net. The work addresses the wars in the Middle East unjustifiably instigated by the American government.
