Oh Brother Series consists of works based on several characters that inhabit a virtual space constructed based on a traditional Korean landscape painting, “Sun and Moon and Five Peaks,” which was historically placed behind the king to symbolize his sovereign power.
The characters that reside inside the virtual space are not sovereign beings but rather partial subjects that do not have any agency.
The “Violent Boy” can only express himself through violence, perpetually fighting figures surrounding him into a bloody pulp. However, his opponents are just replicas of himself.
